- acrylic enamels and transparent lacquers-1.4-1.5 mm;

- liquid putties-2-3 mm;
- anti-gravity coatings — 6 mm (special anti-gravity sprayer. materials).
It is not difficult to guess that the diameter of the nozzle very significantly affects the amount of paint passed through, its consumption. For example, it will be quite problematic to fill a large hood with a 1.3 mm nozzle with varnish (according to some painters, you can shoot yourself). Even if the paint supply is opened to full, the throughput with such a nozzle for a material of such viscosity will clearly be insufficient. Through a nozzle of 1.5 mm, all other things being equal, the paint and varnish material flows already by a third more than through a nozzle of 1.3 mm.
The run-up in the values of the nozzle diameters is also due to the habits of painters: someone likes to apply “thinly”, and someone is used to “fill”.
